Get to know Geriatric Medicine Specialist Dr. Leslie Beth Eber, who serves the population of Colorado. Dr. Eber currently practices with Rocky Mountain Senior Care. With Rocky Mountain Senior Care their healing approach is to treat the “whole” person. This means that, in addition to offering state of the art medical interventions appropriate to each individual, they embrace and honor all aspects of our patients – function, cognition, beliefs, emotions, spiritual and family relationships. At the end of day, they measure our success through the comfort and sense of ease of our patients and families even in the face of incurable illness. Dr. Eber has provided medical directorships for both long term care facilities and hospice and is the medical director of Orchard Park Health Care Center in Greenwood Village, Colorado. The mission of the Orchard Park Health Care Center is to provide compassionate care and dedicated rehabilitative services to people in need. Orchard Park Health Care Center is committed to clearly being the provider of choice for health care and rehabilitative services in their community. They are dedicated to ensuring that quality and compassion are a way of life in their facility. They fundamentally believe that caring for the elderly and the disabled is a calling, and we are committed to answering the call. She divides her time between clinical practice, medical directorship and research. She is board certified in internal medicine by the American Board of Internal Medicine and is a certified Medical Director. Dr. Eber graduated with her honors with her Medical degree from the University of Vermont College of Medicine in 1993, giving her over two decades of experience in her field. After obtaining her medical degree she completed her internal medicine internship with the Emory University School of Medicine. Followed by her internal medicine residency with the St. Joseph Hospital. She is the co-investigator for 2 CCTSI community engagement grants entitled “The Colorado Long Term Care Research Partnership: A Community Partnership and Research Collaboration to Promote Health for Residents of Long Term Care Communities.” She is co–founder of the Long Term Care Stakeholder Advisory Board which evaluates and helps engage long term care communities in research. Dr. Eber is the current President of the Colorado Medical Directors Association.
