He then went on to earn his medical degree from the Baylor College of Medicine in 1990, and completed his residency in emergency medicine at Christ Hospital and Medical Center in 1993.
Board-certified in emergency medicine, he is a Diplomate of the American Board of Emergency Medicine (ABEM). The ABEM certifies emergency physicians who meet its educational, professional, and examination standards.
