Get to know Dermatologist Dr. Athena Theodosatos, who serves patients in Apopka, Florida.
A seasoned dermatologist, Dr. Theodosatos is the Founder of Theo Medical Dermatology in Apopka, Florida.
As such, she provides medical and aesthetic skin care services to patients of all ages. She also provides dermatological care to patients in long-term care facilities including nursing homes, assisted living facilities, independent living facilities, and private homes.
Serving the central Florida area for more than 10 years, her mission is to provide the best dermatological care available to all patients in a warm, friendly atmosphere surrounded by a caring dermatologist and staff. Some of the medical services that Dr. Theodosatos offers include: biopsies; evaluation, diagnosis and treatment of skin, hair, and nail disorders; surgical excisions for skin cancers and benign lesions; surgical destruction of precancerous lesions; Excimer Laser treatments for psoriasis and vitiligo; and superficial radiation treatment for non-melanoma skin cancers. Some of the aesthetic procedures that she provides include: medical micro needling; dermaplaning; Botox and fillers; and laser treatment (body and face).
Throughout her academic career, Dr. Theodosatos graduated with her Bachelor of Arts degree in Biology from the University of South Florida in 2000. She then went on to earn her Master of Public Health degree from the University of South Florida College of Public Health in 2002.
Four years later, in 2006, she graduated with her Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine degree from the Rowan University School of Osteopathic Medicine. She then performed her residency in family medicine at AdventHealth Florida, finishing her training in 2009.
Board-certified by the American Osteopathic Board of Family Physicians, Dr. Theodosatos is an active member of the American Osteopathic Association, the Orange County Medical Association, the American Academy of Aesthetic Medicine, the Physician Society of Central Florida, and the American Society of Geriatrics. She is also a Board member of the Orlando Economic Partnership.

A dermatologist is a specialist doctor who manages skin diseases and deals with both internal and external causes and some cosmetic concerns involving the skin.
