Get to know Dr. Byron Rome. Having been providing outstanding dental care since 2000, Dr. Rome sees patients at his private practice in Gonzales, Louisiana and surrounding areas. He embraces all of the latest advances in dental technology designed to provide optimal treatment and patient comfort. His dental practice offers digital x-rays, Intra-oral cameras, soft tissue lasers, and noise-canceling headphones. Patients of all ages who are anxious or fearful of seeing the dentist can request sedation dentistry using safe and effective nitrous oxide or intraoral sedation. Dr. Rome also offers cosmetic dental procedures such as crowns, veneers, bridges, and natural looking resin fillings. In addition to services listed above he offers emergency dental treatment, implant dentistry ( includes placement and restoration of dental implants), wisdom tooth extractions and other forms of oral surgery. He is excited to announce a new addition to his dental practice which is dental sleep medicine. Using the latest technology in Before he went on to dental school, Dr. Rome spent his summers working for his father, who is a dentist, and he learned so much from him. He also worked at a dental lab, which gave him a good perspective on the workings of the other side of dentistry. Upon embarking on his educational journey, Dr. Rome attended the Louisiana State University School of Dentistry, where he graduated with his Doctor of Dental Surgery Degree. Board certified by the American Board of General Dentistry, he is an active member of the American Dental Association, the Academy of General Dentistry, the Louisiana Dental Association, and a board member of the Continuing Dental Education of Baton Rouge. Dentistry, also known as Dental and Oral Medicine, is a branch of medicine that consists of the study, diagnosis, prevention, and treatment of diseases, disorders, and conditions of the oral cavity. Dentists diagnose and treat dental issues and help patients develop better oral hygiene regimens. They clean teeth, correct bite issues, perform surgeries and extractions, and perform other duties to ensure that the teeth and mouth are healthy. Having earned rave reviews, Dr. Rome attributes his success to his commitment to being honest with his patients, truly caring for them, and having extreme attention to detail so that they can receive exceptional dental care and outstanding patient service. In giving back to the community, he donates to local high school athletic programs in Gonzales and surrounding areas, has served on the athletic board of St George and has volunteered with the Community Clinic of Greater Baton Rouge. In his spare time, he enjoys fishing, golfing, hunting and relaxing with his family.
