Dr. Chetan Gujrathi is an ear, nose and throat (ENT) doctor, also known as an otolaryngologist, practicing in Phoenix, AZ. Dr. Gujrathi specializes in diseases and disorders of the ear, nose and throat as well as other parts of the head and neck. Sorry you have been suffering so much. There’s no doubt these are lymphoid patches or accessory tonsil tissue. They get large from some type of inflammation. The question is what could cause inflammation: infection, allergies, acid are common. Less common: autoimmune, hormonal, a biopsy would only conclude whether it’s inflammation or not. An excellent otolaryngologist, Dr. Gujrathi is in practice with Arizona Otolaryngology Consultants in Phoenix, Arizona. He helps treat patients who have head and neck cancer. He then went on to complete a fellowship in skull base surgery and head and neck oncology and free flap/microvascular surgery at the University of California, Davis in Sacramento.
The doctor is board-certified in otolaryngology by the American Board of Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery, which serves the public by ensuring that diplomates meet the standards of training, knowledge, and professionalism through initial and continuing certification.
An active member of the North American Skull Base Society, Dr. Gujrathi is a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons and a Fellow of the American Academy of Otolaryngology – Head and Neck Surgery.
