Dr. El-Sayegh is a nephrologist in Staten Island, New York. A nephrologist is a medical doctor who specializes in kidney care and treating diseases of the kidneys.

Dr. El-Sayegh is currently serving patients at Island Rehabilitative Services, which is New York City’s largest privately held dialysis facility, with locations in all 5 boroughs. The facility serves both short and long-term facility residents, as well as members of the community. It is located across the street from Staten Island University Hospital (SIUH).

Dr. El-Sayegh is also the Director of Nephrology of Medicine, Associate Chairman of Medicine (Nephrology), and Residency Program Director in Internal Medicine at SIUH - Staten Island’s major teaching hospital and one of the New York metropolitan area’s largest. The hospital, which has reached its 155-year milestone, is poised for future success as it continues to earn public and peer recognition. Dr. El-Sayegh is board-certified in both internal medicine and nephrology by the American Board of Internal Medicine (ABIM). Dr. El-Sayegh received her medical degree from the Lebanese University - Faculty of Medical Sciences in Hadeth south, Lebanon. Upon relocating to the United States, she completed her residency in internal medicine at SIUH, as well as her fellowship in nephrology at Mount Sinai Hospital and Medical Center.

Nephrology is a specialty of medicine and pediatrics that concerns itself with the kidneys: the study of normal kidney function and kidney disease, the preservation of kidney health, and the treatment of kidney disease, from diet and medication to renal replacement therapy.
