The doctor obtained his Bachelor of Arts degree from the Iona College in 1989, and graduated with his medical degree from the New York Medical College in 1997. He went on to complete his residency at the Jacobi Medical Center, Albert Einstein College of Medicine in 2000, and completed two consecutive fellowships at the Montefiore Medical Center in 2003 and 2004, respectively.

Distinguished as a Fellow of the American College of Cardiology (FACC), he is board-certified in interventional cardiology, cardiovascular disease, nuclear medicine, adult echocardiography, and internal medicine by the American Board of Internal Medicine (ABIM).
