Is Mohs surgery painful?
Prior to the procedure, you will receive numbing medication (local injection of lidocaine). There will be an initial sting and burn from the injection, but after this, you shouldn't feel anything during the procedure. Following the procedure, there may be some pain as you recover, for the first day or two, and depending on how extensive your procedure was. But your surgeon may elect to give you pain medication to help with this. READ MORE
