RVA Physical Therapy & Sports Rehab opened their doors in 2016 to serve the Central Virginia community. Regarding her educational background, Dr. Salvi earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Kinesiological Sciences from the University of Maryland in 1992, which was followed by a Master’s degree in Physical Therapy from the University of South California in 1995. She has completed Level 1 and 2B Pelvic Floor Course from the Herman and Wallace Pelvic Rehabilitation Institute, Polestar Pilates Mat Certification, and is in the process of becoming an Acumed Certified Pain Practitioner.
Attributing her success to her curiosity and having always wanted to learn about the human body, some of Dr. Salvi’s key accomplishments include the following: developed an innovative wheelchair design concept adopted by students for da Vinci Center project at Virginia Commonwealth University; devised integrated treatments for patients by combining therapy techniques in new ways to maximize patient recovery and treatment effectiveness; providing ongoing staff trainings on amputee rehabilitation therapies as a recognized expert on amputee rehabilitation at National Rehabilitation Center.
Licensed to practice in both the United States and Peru, she is a distinguished member of the American Physical Therapy Association.
