Outpatient Joint Replacement Center of America is the Southeast’s premier provider for outpatient total knee and hip replacement. The dedicated and compassionate team working there strive to help put patients on the path to long-lasting and life-changing relief.

At his practice, Dr. Clifford has spent over five years developing anesthetic and surgical protocols for outpatient joint replacement, which has led to nearly all of his patients being candidates for outpatient surgery, provided their general health is stable and medically well managed.

Born in New Jersey, from Vermont natives, he went to middle and high school in the Tampa Bay area. He attended Davidson College in North Carolina before enrolling in medical school at the University of Florida College of Medicine in Gainesville. Thereafter, he completed his residency in orthopaedics at Duke University in Durham, North Carolina, before going on to complete an additional year of fellowship training in adult reconstructive surgery, specifically hip and knee replacement surgery.

With a special interest in outpatient joint replacement, Dr. Clifford’s passion led him to Tampa, where he opened his private practice with the plan to deliver the best of care to patients needing hip and knee replacement surgery.

In addition to being a member of the American Association of Hip and Knee Surgeons and the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons, Dr. Clifford is board-certified in orthopaedic surgery by the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery (ABOS). The ABOS is an organization with the goal of establishing educational and professional standards for orthopaedic residents and surgeons, as well as evaluating the qualifications and competence of orthopaedic surgeons.

Orthopaedic surgery or orthopaedics is the branch of surgery concerned with conditions involving the musculoskeletal system. Orthopaedic surgeons use both surgical and nonsurgical means to treat musculoskeletal trauma, spine diseases, sports injuries, degenerative diseases, infections, tumors, and congenital disorders.
