Get to know Pediatric Neurologist Dr. Judy Woo, who serves patients in Fair Lawn, New Jersey.

Dr. Woo is a board-certified pediatric neurologist with over 25 years of experience in managing a variety of pediatric neurological conditions. Committed to delivering the highest quality of care to children with neurological issues, she serves patients at her private practice – Bergen Passaic Pediatric Neurology LLC – in Fair Lawn, New Jersey.

Back in 1983, she graduated with her Bachelor of Science degree in Biomedicine from the City University of New York, and completed her medical education at the Mount Sinai School of Medicine in 1985. She then went on to complete her internship and residency in pediatrics at the University Hospital at Stony Brook in 1987, and her fellowship in pediatric neurology at the Mount Sinai Hospital in 1990.

A member of the American Academy of Neurology, the doctor attained board certification in neurology and child neurology through the American Board of Neurology and Psychiatry (ABPN). The ABPN is a not-for-profit corporation dedicated to serving the professions of psychiatry and neurology.

Furthermore, she is board-certified in pediatrics by the American Board of Pediatrics, whose mission is to advance child health by certifying pediatricians who meet standards of excellence and are committed to continuous learning and improvement.

Holding a license to practice medicine in New Jersey, Dr. Woo is a full-time attending physician at the St. Joseph Children’s Hospital in Paterson, and the Valley Hospital in Ridgewood.

Among her prior academic appointments, she served as an Assistant Professor of Medical Science at the Seton Hall University (1992-2007).

Child neurology, also known as pediatric neurology, refers to a specialized branch of medicine that deals with the diagnosis and management of neurological conditions in neonates (newborns), infants, children, and adolescents. The discipline of child neurology encompasses diseases and disorders of the spinal cord, brain, peripheral nervous system, autonomic nervous system, muscles, and blood vessels that affect individuals in these age groups.

Speaking several languages, Dr. Woo is fluent in English, Cantonese, and Chinese.
