 Dr. Murray brings a wealth of experience in cardiothoracic anesthesiology and critical care medicine to his role at Banner - University Medical Center Phoenix in Arizona. With a specialization in cardiothoracic anesthesiology and critical care medicine, he is set to enhance the hospital's capabilities in cardiac critical care, nutrition, severe sepsis, and ARDS.

Academically, his impressive educational background includes a residency in anesthesiology from Mayo Clinic College of Medicine and Science, where he also completed a fellowship in critical care medicine. Prior to this, he pursued residencies in internal medicine at LDS Hospital and Mayo Clinic. He received his medical degree from Baylor College of Medicine in 1974, marking the beginning of his illustrious medical career.

In addition to his extensive training, Dr. Murray holds board certifications from the American Board of Anesthesiology in Anesthesiology and Critical Care Medicine, as well as from the American Board of Internal Medicine in Internal Medicine. 

Recognized as a Master of the American College of Critical Care Medicine and a Fellow of the American College of Chest Physicians, he is also a proud member of the American Medical Association and the Trauma Anesthesia Society, showcasing his commitment to staying at the forefront of medical advancements.
