Get to know Internist Dr. Diana Liz Figueroa, who serves patients in Jacksonville, Florida.

Dr. Figueroa is a skilled internist who provides long-term, comprehensive care, managing both common and complex illness of adolescents, adults, and the elderly. She is affiliated with the Baptist Health network, seeing patients at Baptist Medical Center South & Baptist Medical Center Jacksonville.

Both facilities are a part of Baptist Primary Care, Inc., offering primary care that is personalized, coordinated, and convenient. A full spectrum of care from highly qualified providers is offered in more than 50 convenient locations. At the start of her academic career, Dr. Figueroa graduated with her Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine degree from the Rowan University School of Osteopathic Medicine in 2011. She then went on to complete her internship and residency in internal medicine at the same educational venue in 2012 and 2014, respectively. 

A member of the American Osteopathic Association, she is board-certified in internal medicine by the American Osteopathic Board of Internal Medicine (AOBIM). The AOBIM is an organization that provides board certification to qualified Doctors of Osteopathic Medicine who specialize in the prevention, diagnosis, and treatment of disease in adults.

Internal medicine is the medical specialty dealing with the prevention, diagnosis, and treatment of adult diseases. Physicians specializing in internal medicine are called internists. They manage and prevent common and complex diseases by providing comprehensive care and promoting overall well-being.
