Throughout his educational background, he received his medical degree from the University of Florida College of Medicine in 1989. He then went on to complete his internship and residency in family practice at Bayfront Medical Center in St. Petersburg, Florida in 1992. He served as chief resident during his final year of residency.
Proceeding his training, the doctor became board-certified in family medicine by the American Board of Family Medicine, a non-profit, independent medical association of American physicians who practice in family medicine and its sub-specialties.
