Get to know Pediatrician Dr. William R. Davidson, who serves the population of Tennessee. Dr. Davidson currently practices as a pediatrician with Pediatric Associates of Davidson County. He is also a Clinical Instructor with Monroe Carrell Children’s Hospital and the Vanderbilt Medical Center, Department of Pediatrics and is affiliated with the St Thomas MidTown and Centennial Medical Center Women’s and Children’s Hospitals. He has previously served as Chief of Pediatrics and Vice-Chief of Pediatrics at St Thomas MidTown. Pediatric Associates of Davidson County’s Mission is: To accept and embrace each child; To offer state of the art pediatric clinical care; To educate and empower families toward better health, in a caring, compassionate and comprehensive manner. Dr. Davidson graduated with his Medical Degree from the University Of Tennessee Memphis School of Medicine in 1988, giving him over three decades of experience in his field. After obtaining his medical degree he completed his pediatric residency with the University of Louisville School of Medicine. Dr. Davidson is certified by the American Board of Pediatrics and is Pediatric Advanced Life Support certified. To stay up to date in his field he has been inducted as a Fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics. Physicians who maintain their Fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics designation make an ongoing commitment to lifelong learning and advocacy for children. When not working, Dr. Davidson remains active in his church, having served as a deacon. He has been on nine mission trips including 7 to Honduras, one to Kenya and one to Southern California. He is currently serving as an Adult Sunday School Teacher and in Children’s Worship Services. Dr. Davidson’s hobbies include University of Tennessee VOLS, Titans football, and Photography. Pediatrics is the branch of medicine dealing with the health and medical care of infants, children, and adolescents from birth up to the age of 18. A pediatrician is a children’s physician who provides medical care to children who are acutely or chronically ill, as well as preventive health services to healthy children. They manage the physical, mental, and emotional well-being of the children under their care at every stage of development, in both sickness and health.
