Dr. Smith is a well-respected psychiatrist who, since 1992, has been seeing patients at her private practice – Dr. Diane E. Smith & Associates, Inc. – in Stow, Ohio. She provides medical evaluations and medication management to individuals (18 years of age and older) who have concerns in the areas of depression, mood instability, anxiety, obsessive-compulsive disorder, phobias, stress, sexuality concerns, drug and alcohol problems, personality problems, relationship issues and concerns of women.

Following the completion of her Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine degree from the Heritage College of Osteopathic Medicine of Ohio University in 1987, Dr. Smith went on to further her training. She performed her internship at Cuyahoga Falls General Hospital, and her residency in psychiatry at Metrohealth Medical Center. 

A Diplomate of the American Osteopathic Board of Psychiatry and Neurology, she is a member of the American Osteopathic Association, the American Psychiatric Association, the Ohio Psychiatric Association, and the Greater Medical Society of Akron.

With over 34 years of experience in her field, Dr. Smith is affiliated with the Behavioral Health Unit at Massillon Community Hospital, Western Reserve Hospital, and Signature Health – Willoughby.
