Get to know Pediatric Dentist Dr. Tamar Gruenbaum, who serves patients in Glen Rock, New Jersey.

A skilled pediatric dentist, Dr. Gruenbaum works with patients at her private practice - Ridgewood Valley Pediatric Dentistry - in Glen Rock, New Jersey. Her goal is for every child to have a positive and fun experience at the dentist.

Ridgewood Valley Pediatric Dentistry provides compassionate, skilled, and experienced care to address the dental needs of children of all ages from infancy through adolescence. Their mission is to make the first appointment and all subsequent appointments as positive and anxiety free for children as possible.

Raised in Teaneck, New Jersey, Dr. Gruenbaum obtained her Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology from Barnard College, where she graduated summa cum laude. She then attended Columbia University College of Dental Medicine, where she received her Doctor of Dental Surgery degree.

During dental school, she participated in a global outreach program to Jamaica, where she first realized her passion for pediatric dentistry. She then went on to complete a general practice residency at the Montefiore Medical Center. She continued her post-graduate training in pediatric dentistry at the Maimonides Medical Center, where she served as Chief Resident during her second year.

Recognized as a Diplomate of the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry, Dr. Gruenbaum is an active member of the American Dental Association, and the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry.

Pediatric dentistry is the branch of dentistry dealing with children from birth through adolescence. A pediatric dentist specializes in the diagnosis and treatment of the dental problems of children from infancy to young adulthood. They usually care for special needs patients as well.

As a testament to her success, Dr. Gruenbaum was awarded Top Doctor in Bergen County in 201 Magazine (2017-2021) and NJ Top Dentist (2019-2021).

In her free time, she enjoys indoor cycling, boutique fitness and barre classes, doing puzzles, and going to sports games. She is fluent in both English and Hebrew.
