She has also had the privilege of serving in the Navy at the Bethesda Naval Hospital in Bethesda, Maryland. Her experiences have encompassed academic medicine, military medicine, organized medicine with Kaiser Permanente, as well as the private sector of medicine with her own private practices.
Throughout her career, Dr. Docasar has been an advocate for women’s healthcare. She has been honored by the Congressional Hispanic Caucus for her involvement in raising awareness in Latino Healthcare. She also served 3 years on the Admiral’s Naval National Domestic Violence Committee.
In addition to being a Fellow of the American College of Cosmetic Surgeons, she is a member of the American College of Obstetrics & Gynecology and the Gynecological Cosmetic Surgeons. Moreover, she is board-certified in obstetrics and gynecology by the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology, a non-profit organization that provides board certification for practicing obstetricians and gynecologists in the United States and Canada.
