Dr. Raslan, a board-certified and fellowship-trained pulmonologist, is the Founder of The Raslan Clinic in Canton, Michigan. Since 1997, he has been providing high quality, compassionate pulmonary and sleep medicine care to patients in western Wayne County.

In addition to English, Dr. Raslan is also fluent in Arabic. The doctor’s career in medicine began after he earned his medical degree from the Faculty of Medicine at Damascus University in 1988. He relocated to the United States and started his residency in internal medicine at St. Joseph Mercy Hospital, affiliated with DMC.
During his senior year of residency, he was involved in bench research at the University of Michigan and received multiple awards in research. Subsequently, he was accepted into the Pulmonary Medicine Fellowship Program at DMC Sinai Grace Hospital. In the final year of his fellowship, he elected to rotate into the Sleep Disorder Program at the University of Michigan, where he gained further experience in this field.
In addition to being a Fellow of the American College of Chest Physicians (FCCP), Dr. Raslan is board-certified in internal medicine, pulmonary disease, and sleep medicine by the American Board of Internal Medicine (ABIM). The ABIM is a physician-led, non-profit, independent evaluation organization driven by doctors who want to achieve higher standards for better care in a rapidly changing world.
Dr. Raslan is a strong believer in pulmonary rehabilitation programs, which have helped hundreds of patients by making a difference in their disease management. He has established one such program at Beaumont Hospital, Wayne. His other interest includes lung nodule management, for which he has also established a program to serve the community for early detection and diagnosis of lung cancer to improve survival and reduce the mortality of this silent killer. He is currently the director of both programs.
He has an allergy testing center, which further aids his patients in allergy and asthma management.
Pulmonology is a medical specialty that deals with diseases involving the respiratory tract.
