Welcome to the office of Wynatte Chu, DDS. Our dentist and team are thrilled to serve patients of all ages. Our dentist and team provide comprehensive family dentistry. We strive to make everything look as aesthitically ideal as well as functional. Dr. Chu understands that you want a smile that is beautiful as well as healthy.
Our dental office is dedicated to using up-to-date technology and techniques so that you receive the best treatment possible. We use all-digital X-ray for diagnoses, soft tissue lasers for gum treatments, and metal-free restorations. We also use some of the best labs in the country for the construction of restorations.
At our office, you will always see our dentist and get almost undivided attention from her. Our office has an intimate feel as our team is small. We know everything that is going on with your treatment. We develop relationships with our patients and are always friendly and understanding. Many of our patients have been with us for a long time, so they have become like family

When can I eat regular food after implant surgery?
For most cases, patients should feel and function normally about 2 weeks after surgery. READ MORE
How long does the swelling last after implant surgery?
Swelling can last up to two weeks. Be sure to keep in clean and follow post-op instructions. If swelling persists or you have increase pain, I would recommend scheduling an appointment for a follow up. READ MORE
What can I do for swollen gums?
First make sure you are diligent about brushing your teeth two a day. I would recommend antiseptic mouth wash. If the swelling persists after a week, I would recommend you see a dentist. READ MORE
How long does it take to learn to talk with dentures?
It depends on the patient, but I usually tell my patients 7-10 days. A lot of practice helps. I recommend reading out loud or talking to yourself… READ MORE

Can you use an electric toothbrush on a crown?

What is the cheapest way to replace a missing molar tooth?
A bridge may be the cheapest and fastest, but it’s not that much cheaper. An implant mimics a real tooth more closely, so we expect a healthier situation. AND the neighboring teeth will preserve their tooth structure. READ MORE

How can I straighten my teeth without braces or Invisalign?
The only other option would be advanced cosmetics, like veneers and crowns. READ MORE
Can you have cavities if you have a crown?
Absolutely!!! If the edges of the crown are not kept clean, bacteria can colonize and damage the tooth structure under the crown and cause a cavity. READ MORE
Do I need to clean my dentures more than once a day?
Treat them like regular teeth. Clean them in the AM to remove the bacteria that has settled on them while to have been sleeping. Clean them in the PM to remove food and debris from your day. READ MORE
How long after tooth bonding can I eat?
You should be able to eat once the anesthesia wears off READ MORE
Can you eat with removable partial denture?
Yes, you should be able to eat normally. READ MORE
Do dead teeth fall out?
Eventually, but they can cause a whole host of problems and pain beforehand (like abscess, infection, periodontal disease, a negative effect on surrounding teeth, etc.). READ MORE
How can I make my bottom dentures fit better?
I would consult your dentist for either implants or relining the denture. READ MORE

When can I eat rice after tooth extraction?
Once the extraction site is mostly closed. They should take about 5-7 days. READ MORE
What is the fastest way to stop a toothache at home?
OTC pain meds can stop the pain, but you should consult a dentist for the cause if it persists. READ MORE
Can you be awake for dental implants?
Yes. There is not need for sedation unless you are having severe anxiety about the procedure. READ MORE
Can flossing too hard cause tooth pain?
Yes. Irritation and abrasion from aggressive flossing can injure the teeth and surrounding gums. READ MORE

Born in New York City and raised in Westport, Dr. Chu has deep roots in the communities she serves. She is currently serving patients’ dental needs at her private dental practices in New York City, New York and in Westport, Connecticut. At both practices, Dr. Chu and her team of professionals provide comprehensive family dentistry, utilizing up-to-date technology and techniques so that patients can receive the best treatment possible. They use all-digital X-ray for diagnoses, soft tissue lasers for gum treatments, and metal-free restorations.
After earning her bachelor’s degree at Mount Holyoke College in 1999, Dr. Chu completed graduate studies in molecular biology and genetics at Long Island University, where she was inducted into the Beta Gamma Chapter of the Phi Sigma Biological Honor Society. In 2004, she completed her Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) degree at the New York University College of Dentistry, followed by additional studies in advanced techniques and technology, including Invisalign, soft tissue lasers, and dental implants.
Dr. Chu is an active member of several professional societies, including the American Dental Association, the Academy of General Dentistry, the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry, the American Academy of Implant Dentistry, the New York State Dental Association, and the Connecticut State Dental Association.
