Treating adults and geriatrics, he currently serves as an attending physician at Beaumont Hospital, Dearborn; Beaumont Hospital, Royal Oak; and Beaumont Hospital, Taylor.

The doctor’s acclaimed career in medicine began after he earned his medical degree from the American University of Beirut Faculty of Medicine in 1987. He then went on to pursue an internship in general surgery at the American University of Beirut in 1990.

Furthering his training in the United States, he performed a residency in general surgery at Guthrie Robert Packer Hospital in 1991, an additional residency in general surgery at North Oakland Medical Center in 1996, and a fellowship in colon and rectal surgery at William Beaumont Hospital in 1997.

Colorectal surgery is a field in medicine dealing with disorders of the rectum, anus, and colon. The field is also known as proctology, but this term is now used infrequently within medicine and is most often employed to identify practices relating to the anus and rectum in particular. A colorectal surgeon is a physician who specializes in the diagnosis and treatment of anorectal and colorectal conditions (conditions of the colon, rectum, and anus).

On a more personal note, Dr. Turfah speaks both English and Arabic.
