An experienced pulmonologist, Dr. Oakley is affiliated with Swedish Medical Center and Craig Hospital, both of which are located in Englewood, Colorado. His areas of clinical expertise include general pulmonary medicine and pulmonary disease.

A 408-bed acute care hospital, Swedish Medical Center is a Level I trauma and burn center serving Colorado and the Rocky Mountain region. It is operated by HealthONE, part of HCA Healthcare’s Continental Division. It employs more than 2,000 people and has a medical staff of 1,400 physicians and allied health professionals.

Craig Hospital is a neurorehabilitation and research hospital specializing in spinal cord injury and traumatic brain injury rehabilitation and research. Holding over five decades of experience, Dr. Oakley earned his medical degree from the University of Louisville School of Medicine in 1970. He completed his internship with the University of Alabama Medical Center in 1971, followed by a residency in internal medicine at Emory University in 1972. In 1974, he completed an additional residency in internal medicine at Grady Memorial Hospital.

Pulmonology is a medical specialty that deals with diseases involving the respiratory tract. A pulmonologist is an internal medicine physician who specializes in preventing, diagnosing, and treating conditions and diseases that affect the lungs, bronchial tubes, and the respiratory system, including the nose, pharynx, and throat.
