Get to know Emergency Physician Dr. Anthony Albano, who serves patients in Youngstown, Ohio.

A well-versed emergency physician, Dr. Albano treats a wide range of acute conditions or injuries in an emergency room. At present, he can be found on staff at Mercy Health – St. Elizabeth Youngstown Hospital in Ohio.

Locally, he is affiliated with Select Specialty Hospital-Youngstown, Trumbull Memorial Hospital, and Methodist Hospitals of Memphis.

Graduating with his medical degree from the University of Massachusetts Medical School in 1986, Dr. Albano went on to perform his residency in emergency medicine at Michigan State University Clinical Center in 1989.

A Fellow of the American College of Emergency Physicians (FACEP), the doctor is board-certified in emergency medicine by the American Board of Emergency Medicine (ABEM). The ABEM certifies emergency physicians who meet its educational, professional, and examination standards.

Emergency medicine, also known as accident and emergency medicine, is the medical specialty concerned with the care of illnesses or injuries requiring immediate medical attention. An emergency physician is a physician who works at an emergency department to care for acutely ill or injured patients. They care for unscheduled and undifferentiated patients of all ages.
