Get to know Psychiatrist Dr. Carl H. Kleban, who serves patients in New York, New York.

Back in the early days of his academic career, Dr. Kleban earned his medical degree from SUNY Downstate College of Medicine. He completed his residency in psychiatry at the Kings County Hospital Medical Center.

Subsequent to his education, the doctor attained board certification in psychiatry from the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology (ABPN). The ABPN is a not-for-profit corporation dedicated to serving the professions of psychiatry and neurology.

Psychiatry is the branch of medicine focused on the diagnosis, treatment and prevention of mental, emotional and behavioral disorders. A psychiatrist is a medical doctor (an M.D. or D.O.) who specializes in mental health, including substance use disorders.
