In addition to his private practice work, Dr. Lopez Pareja has privileges at several hospitals, including Joe DiMaggio Children’s Hospital, Memorial Hospital Miramar, Westside, and Memorial Hospital West. He also volunteers his time performing pro-bono medical care for international patients who can benefit from advanced procedures offered in the United States, as well as he is a former participant in the Non Profit at Mercy Ships in Africa
Hailing from Bogota, Colombia, Dr. Lopez Pareja attended Universidad Bosque and Pontificia Universidad Javeriana School of Dentistry, earning his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree and completing a residency in maxillofacial surgery. Upon completing two internships in maxillofacial surgery and bone growth research, he entered New York University to complete his second undergraduate degree at New York Medical Center at NYC Health + Hospitals / Bellevue, obtaining his Doctor of Medicine in Dentistry degree, as well as Advanced Degree in oral and maxillofacial surgery at NYU Medical Center, followed by a Fellowship in Orthognathic Surgery for the reconstruction of Dentofacial deformities.
He is a former professor in Universidad javeriana, Universidad el bosque and Lecom University teaching in the Pre Graduate and Postgraduate levels
With years of experience, Dr. Lopez Pareja is triple board-certified in oral and maxillofacial surgery, American Board of dental anesthesia & American Board of Implantology.
In order to stay up to date in his field, he remains an active member of the American Dental Association, the Florida Dental Association, the Broward County Dental Association, the Colombian Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery, the International Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons,American Association of Oral and Maxillofacial surgeons and the American Dental Society of Anesthesiology.
