  • Is root canal the only way to treat a tooth cavity?

What determines Root Canal Therapy versus Restorative treatment with Composites or Amalgams depends on the extent of the cavity. Once the cavity/decay get very close to the nerve (pulp chamber) of the tooth. Then Root Canal Therapy is the main treatment recommended. I hope this helps READ MORE

  • How long should my child be brushing their teeth?

It depends on the amount of teeth the child has at the time. For a 1 - 1 1/2 year old I recommend between 1 minute and 30. As the child gains more teeth then you increase the time. A patient with a full set of adult teeth or children with mix dentition (primary teeth mixed with adult teeth) should brush for 2 minutes and 30 seconds. The ADA (American Dental Association) recommends 2X2 (2 minutes of brushing twice to day). I hope that this helps you in achieving optimal dental health. READ MORE

What do you attribute your success to?

  • She was educated by a Dentist when she was 5 years old. He taught her how to brush her teeth correctly. She was inspired by some excellent Patient education and still brushes her teeth the same way. Being properly educated on oral hygiene has helped her keep all her original teeth into adulthood. It awakened a passion in her to educate others on the benefits of proper Dental care. She loves the field because Dentistry is the key to keeping a healthy digestion, which is the core of a healthy body.
