Dr. Gotlieb has been an attending physician and consultant cardiologist at Boca Raton Regional Hospital since 1991.
Previously, he served as an attending cardiologist at New England Deaconess Hospital (1988 – 1990), an attending cardiologist at Lahey Clinic (1988 – 1990), an instructor in medicine at Harvard Medical School (1988 – 1990), the chief of cardiology at Addison Gilbert Medical Center (1987 – 1988), an attending cardiologist at Boston City Hospital (1985 – 1988), an attending cardiologist at Boston University Medical Center (1985 – 1988), and as an assistant professor of medicine at Boston University School of Medicine (1985 – 1988).
Back in 1975, Dr. Gotlieb graduated with his medical degree from the Medical School at the University of the Witwatersrand, Johannesburg. He then relocated to the United States, performing his residency in internal medicine at St. Louis University Hospital in 1983, and his fellowship in cardiovascular disease at Boston University Medical Center in 1985.
Helping patients maintain a heart-healthy life, he is board-certified in internal medicine and cardiovascular disease by the American Board of Internal Medicine (ABIM). The ABIM is a physician-led, non-profit, independent evaluation organization driven by doctors who want to achieve higher standards for better care in a rapidly changing world.
Holding fellowship status, Dr. Gotlieb is a Fellow of the American College of Cardiology and a Fellow of the American College of Chest Physicians.
