Dr. Nilesh Patel practices Radiation Oncology in Knoxville, TN. Radiation oncology is a medical specialty that involves treating cancer with radiation. Born and raised in Houston, Texas, Dr. Nilesh Patel completed his undergraduate studies at Baylor Univeristy in Waco, Texas with highest honors graduating summa cum laude. He then completed medical school at the prestigious Baylor College of Medicine in Houston, TX and finished his Radiation Oncology Residency at Emory University School of Medicine in Atlanta, GA.
Upon completion of his Radiation Oncology training at Emory, Dr. Patel established his practice in 2007 and has been in Knoxville ever since. As a board-certified Radiation Oncologist, he is well-trained in diverse techniques including IMRT, brachytherapy, stereotactic radiosurgery, SBRT, radiopharmaceuticals as well as proton therapy.
He is known for his down-to-earth personality and excellent rapport with his patients, staff, and colleagues. Dr. Patel has also been named among Knoxville’s Top Docs in Cityview Magazine on multiple occasions.
Dr. Patel has a strong passion for his profession and having settled here with his wife and 2 daughters, he hopes to serve the East Tennessee community for many more years to come.
