Born and raised in Kajo Keji, Central Equatoria, Dr. Dmba completed his secondary education at Kajo Keji Senior Secondary in 1986. A year later, in 1987, he embarked on his academic pursuits at the University of Juba. However, in 1990, he resettled in the United States as one of the early refugees from South Sudan.
His educational path continued as he enrolled in a community college in Tacoma, Washington, where he successfully graduated in 1997. Subsequently, Dr. Dumba pursued higher education at the university level and earned a double major in Zoology and Molecular Biology. He then joined the University of Washington School of Medicine, achieving his Medical Degree in 2001.
To further his medical training, Dr. Dumba relocated to the Midwest, where he completed his residency in family medicine with Mayo School of Graduate Medical Training in 2004.
Board certified in family medicine, he is a Diplomate of the American Board of Family Medicine (ABFM). The ABFM is a non-profit, independent medical association of American physicians who practice family medicine and its sub-specialties.
Among his professional affiliations, Dr. Dumba is an active member of the American Medical Association, the American Academy of Family Physicians, and the Nebraska Academy of Family Physicians.
