Dr. Simpson is an experienced, Spanish-bilingual orthopedic surgeon at First Hope Medical Clinic, Inc. in Santa Ana, California. 

Having been in practice since 1985, he treats patients with problems involving nerves, tendons, ligaments, arthritis, the neck, shoulders, elbows, wrists, hips, knees, ankles, and feet. Besides surgery, he performs platelet-rich plasma therapy, stem cell therapy, and cold laser treatments.  He also performs arthroscopies of shoulders, wrists, knees, and ankles, as well as micro surgeries.

Approaching his patients with dedication to their well-being, Dr. Simpson specializes in sports medicine, joints, as well as foot and hand surgery. In the state of California, he is affiliated with Community Hospital of Huntington Park and L.A. Downtown Medical Center.

Throughout his academic career, Dr. Simpson received his bachelor’s degree in mathematics from UCLA and his master’s degree in neurophysiology from CSUDH. He then began his medical education at the Kansas University School of Medicine.

Furthering his training, he completed his internship in general surgery and his residency in orthopedic surgery at King-Drew Postgraduate Medical Center. His specialized training included junior fellowship in pediatric orthopedic surgery, hand surgery, sports medicine, as well as stroke and head trauma.

Dedicated to surgical excellence, Dr. Simpson is board-certified in orthopedic surgery by the American Board of Orthopedic Surgery (ABOS). The ABOS is an organization with the goal of establishing educational and professional standards for orthopedic residents and surgeons as well as evaluating the qualifications and competence of orthopedic surgeons.

Continuously advancing his efforts, he is an active member of the American Board Medical Examiners, the American Association of Experts in Traumatic Stress, the American Board of Forensic Examiners, the California Orthopedic Association, and the American Public Health Association.
