Casandra Liggins, MD, is an expert in gynecologic oncology and the monitoring of women at elevated risk for gynecologic cancers. She obtained her medical degree from the University of Colorado Denver Health Sciences Center, subsequently completing her internship and residency in obstetrics and gynecology at the University of Arizona College of Medicine. Dr. Liggins further honed her expertise in cancer genetics through the Intensive Course in Genomic Cancer Risk Assessment at City of Hope. She actively participates in the Clinical Cancer Genomics Community of Practice at City of Hope, as well as being a member of the Society of Gynecologic Oncology and the American Congress of Obstetricians and Gynecologists. Dr. Liggins possesses extensive experience in various in-office procedures, including vulvar, vaginal, cervical, and endometrial biopsies, colposcopy, and IUD insertion. Additionally, she is skilled in operative techniques, such as hysteroscopy, laparoscopy, laparotomy, and robotic surgery. Her comprehensive training and dedication to patient care position her as a leader in her field.
