Dr. Peelman received her undergraduate degree from the University of Illinois. Wanting to further her education, she went on to obtain her medical degree from Emory University in Atlanta, Georgia. She then completed her residency in Orthopedic Surgery with Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine, followed by her fellowship training at the University of Cincinnati. Orthopedic surgery or orthopedics, also spelled orthopaedics, is the branch of surgery concerned with conditions involving the musculoskeletal system. Having vast experience in her field, Dr. Peelman is an expert in treatment of the hand and often the upper extremity as well. “Your hands are essential to your quality of life and daily activity.
