Dr. Peelman received her undergraduate degree from the University of Illinois. Wanting to further her education, she went on to obtain her medical degree from Emory University in Atlanta, Georgia. She then completed her residency in Orthopedic Surgery with Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine, followed by her fellowship training at the University of Cincinnati. Orthopedic surgery or orthopedics, also spelled orthopaedics, is the branch of surgery concerned with conditions involving the musculoskeletal system. Having vast experience in her field, Dr. Peelman is an expert in treatment of the hand and often the upper extremity as well. “Your hands are essential to your quality of life and daily activity. Conditions affecting them can range from uncomfortable to incapacitating. As a hand specialist, I collaborate with our certified hand therapist to explore surgical and non-surgical treatment options. My goal is to restore pain free function for my patients and help them return to their normal activities” stated Dr. Peelman.
