Get to know Dentist Dr. Shahriyar Behjou, who serves patients in El Monte, California.

With an emphasis on patient-centered care, Dr. Behjou is a part of the team of dental professionals at Lower Azusa Dental Group in El Monte, California.

Educated in Iran, Dr. Behjou graduated with his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from Tehran University of Medical Sciences. He then relocated to the United States, completing his Master of Science degree in Restorative Dentistry and his fellowship training at the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor. 

Staying at the forefront of his profession, Dr. Behjou is a Distinguished Fellow of the American Council of Dental Sciences, a Consultant on the National Board of Dental Science, and trained in oral sedation for children.

In addition, he is an active member of the American Dental Association, the California Dental Association, and the San Gabriel Valley Dental Society.

Dentistry, also known as Dental and Oral Medicine, is a branch of medicine that consists of the study, diagnosis, prevention, and treatment of diseases, disorders, and conditions of the oral cavity. Dentists diagnose and treat dental issues and help patients develop better oral hygiene regimens. They clean teeth, correct bite issues, perform surgeries, create beautiful smiles, and perform other duties to ensure that the teeth and mouth are healthy.
