Get to know Orthodontist Dr. Karina Spivak, who serves patients in Severna Park, Maryland.

Dr. Spivak is a competent orthodontist creating beautiful smiles at Spivak Orthodontics in Severna Park, Maryland. Patients always appreciate her gentle but very effective approach. She feels fortunate to be able to help people get the beautiful smiles they have always wanted and her biggest compliment is seeing the same families come back again and again as younger siblings are ready for their braces experience.

A graduate of University of Rochester, Dr. Spivak completed the Doctor of Medicine in Dentistry (DMD) degree at Harvard School of Dental Medicine. She has been practicing orthodontics after receiving post-doctoral education and certification in Orthodontics from the Tufts University School of Dental Medicine in 2005. 

A member of the American Association of Orthodontists, Dr. Spivak actively seeks out continuing education offerings in order to remain informed of the latest developments in orthodontic treatment options and technologies. She is committed to providing her patients with the best care available using leading-edge knowledge, and by continually learning, she is able to deliver on that commitment.

Orthodontics is a specialty of dentistry that deals with the diagnosis, prevention, and correction of malpositioned teeth and jaws. As an orthodontist, Dr. Spivak is responsible for identifying problems with the positioning of a patient’s teeth and with their oral development. She utilizes the most advanced procedures and equipment available to ensure that every patient achieves a healthy and beautiful smile. 

On a more personal note, Dr. Spivak and her husband, Denis, have two beautiful daughters, Michelle and Emma. The family resides in Ellicott City. They enjoy skiing, playing tennis, and spending time outdoors.
