Get to know Family Physician Dr. Hanid Audish, who serves patients in Spring Valley, California. Dr. Audish is a doctor of osteopathic medicine specializing in family medicine. Since 2007, he has served as the Director and Principal Investigator at Encompass Clinical Research in Spring Valley, California. Encompass Clinical Research works to conduct research trials on conditions such as diabetes, weight loss, osteoarthritis, pain management and much more. After graduating with his Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine Degree from the College of Osteopathic Medicine of the Pacific, Western University of Health Sciences, Dr. Audish completed a three-year residency at Downey Regional Medical Center. Thereafter, he attained board certification in family practice and osteopathic manipulative medicine through the American Osteopathic Board of Family Physicians (AOBFP). The AOBFP is an organization that provides board certification to qualified osteopathic physicians who specialize in delivering comprehensive primary care for patients of all ages, genders, and addressing all parts of the body. After becoming a board certified family medicine physician, Dr. Audish worked in a small family practice for over ten years. He developed a knack for clinical research and turned this affinity into a full-time career, which transitioned to a full-time position in clinical research. At present, Dr. Audish is involved in the testing of new medications for diabetics who have difficulty controlling their blood sugars with their current treatment. An example of one of the clinical trials involves a medication that is injected weekly to better assist patients control blood sugars. Yielding superior results, Dr. Audish enjoys seeing patients thriving as a result of new developments in the field of family medicine. He works tirelessly to ensure the safety of all patients who participate in clinical trials, and his work brings him a great deal of personal satisfaction. Dedicated to staying current with the changes in the medical field, Dr. Audish routinely earns continuing medical education (CME) credits. He has maintained membership at the American College of Osteopathic Family Physicians, the American Academy of Family Physicians, and the American Osteopathic Association. Family medicine is a medical specialty devoted to comprehensive health care for people of all ages. The specialist is called a family physician or family doctor. A family physician is often the first person a patient sees when seeking healthcare services. They examine and treat patients with a wide range of conditions and refer those with serious ailments to a specialist or appropriate facility. An advocate of proper work-life balance, Dr. Audish enjoys spending time with his family. Happily married, Dr. Audish and his wife have four children: three sons and one daughter. He volunteers his time with his children’s school as a sports coach, while also volunteering his time to his local church. Gaining experience from previous hospital volunteering, Dr. Audish developed dreams of joining Doctors Without Borders which would enable him to bring his skills to those who need them most in impoverished countries.
