    At her age, I would take her to a doctor to check for a urinary tract infection, evaluate her medication regimen, dementia, infection, thyroid disease. Also consider a head cat scan to rule out any brain lesions. I would also check into a family history of schizophrenia and environmental exposures. READ MORE

    Yes, people with depression are able to work. You may just need medication and therapy but you can live a full life. Depression tends to be episodic, can run in families, and can sometimes be triggered by a major loss.     I am glad you are taking care of your health. You should have received the vaccine in your arm. It is highly unlikely that the pain in your hip is from the vaccine. It can cause body aches, pain at the injection site, chills, or swelling of your lymph node in your armpit of the arm you got the injection.   • How long does it take to feel normal after stopping antidepressants?

    It depends on which antidepressant you are trying to discontinue. Depending on the medication, some are longing acting then others. It also depends, on how long you have been on the medication. I do not recommend stopping the medication on your own without discussing it with the prescriber. Some shorter acting medication, may have a withdrawal syndrome, ie, headache, nausea, dizziness, insomnia, and the risk of worsening depression. READ MORE

She also was a National Health Service Corps Scholar serving in Havre, MT for 3 years and 9 years in Snow Hill, Maryland for the Worcester County Health Department.
