Get to know Orthopedic Surgeon Dr. Kelly W. Blevins, who serves patients in Texas.

Dr. Blevins, a highly skilled orthopedic surgeon, provides patient care at UT Physicians Orthopedics at Memorial Hermann | Rockets Sports Medicine Institute – The Woodlands in Texas. 

His clinical expertise encompasses a wide range of areas, including cartilage restoration procedures, disorders of the foot and ankle, hip and knee joint replacement, partial knee replacement, sports injuries, and treatment of arthritis. Additionally, he specializes in robotic-assisted surgeries.

Academically, Dr. Blevins earned his Undergraduate Degree from Texas A&M University in College Station, Texas. He pursued his medical education at McGovern Medical School at UTHealth Houston, where he also completed his internship and residency. His commitment to excellence led him to undertake a fellowship in foot and ankle reconstruction at the American Sports Medicine Institute in Birmingham, Alabama, in 2000.

A significant contributor to the field of orthopedics, Dr. Blevins is a Diplomate of the American Board of Orthopedic Surgery (ABOS). The ABOS is an organization with the goal of establishing educational and professional standards for orthopedic residents and surgeons as well as evaluating the qualifications and competence of orthopedic surgeons.

On a professional level, Dr. Blevins is a member of several professional organizations, including the American Academy of Orthopedic Surgeons, the American Orthopedic Foot and Ankle Society, the Texas Orthopedic Association, and the American Association of Hip and Knee Surgeons.

In addition to his clinical work, Dr. Blevins serves as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Orthopedic Surgery at McGovern Medical School at UTHealth Houston. He also holds the role of Co-Director for the Total Joint Reconstruction Program at Memorial Hermann The Woodlands Hospital.

Furthermore, Dr. Blevins frequently acts as a tournament physician for the Association of Tennis Professionals in the U.S. Clay Court Championships and advocates for enhanced patient-centric care pathways, including programs such as the Perioperative Surgical Home.
