After earning his medical degree from the University of Connecticut School of Medicine, Dr. Scola went on to complete his residency in internal medicine at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center in 1993. This was followed by a fellowship in rheumatology at the Boston University School of Medicine.
In addition to being a Fellow of the American College of Rheumatology, the doctor is board-certified in rheumatology by the American Board of Internal Medicine, a physician-led, non-profit, independent evaluation organization driven by doctors who want to achieve higher standards for better care in a rapidly changing world.
