Get to know Dentist Dr. Steven J. Rosenstein, who serves patients in Aventura, Florida.

Dr. Rosenstein is a skilled dentist tending to patients’ dental needs at Rosenstein and Gartner Dentistry, PLLC in Aventura, Florida.

He is committed to helping his patients achieve the maximum level of oral health through carefully listening to their desires, concerns, and any fears that may be present. With each patient, he devotes significant time to understanding the current status of their dental health and planning for a more comfortable and predictable future. He believes it is best to always make quality the constant and time the variable in achieving goals.

Rosenstein and Gartner Dentistry, PLLC proudly serves North Miami Beach and the Aventura, Florida area at 20803 Biscayne Blvd., Suite 306. The Aventura dentists, Doctors Steven J. Rosenstein, DMD, Judith L. Gartner, DMD, MMSc, and Gabriela Cohen, DMD, are dedicated to providing the best possible dental care with state-of-the-art equipment and sterilization technologies. As dental experts, they specialize in all facets of their work, including dental implants, veneers, general dentistry, root canal, Invisalign, crowns, restorative dentistry, periodontal disease, sleep apnea, bridges, and teeth whitening.

Born in Albany, New York in 1950, Dr. Rosenstein was blessed with a warm and loving family life in his youth and it certainly impacted on his adult years. He attended Colgate University before moving on to The University of Pennsylvania School of Dental Medicine and graduating with his Doctor of Medicine in Dentistry degree. After completing a General Practice Residency in the United States Public Health Service, he returned to Philadelphia to begin his private practice career. 

After 21 years, he decided to move to Florida and has been practicing there since 1998. His work history includes serving as a clinical instructor half a day per week at the UF Hialeah clinic, and as a clinical instructor half a day per week at Mount Sinai Hospital GPR program (for 3 years until the program closed).

Among Dr. Rosenstein’s professional affiliations include Board member of the Rotary Club of Fort Lauderdale South since 2015, Fellow of the Academy of General Dentistry, member of the American Dental Association, member of the Academy of Osseointegration, and on the Board of Advisors for The Pankey Institute.

His various certifications include: Certificate for Human Participants Protection Education for Research Teams, National Cancer Institute, June 2009 & Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act & Privacy General Awareness for Researchers, University of Florida, June 2009. 

His research experience includes 2009 Practitioner- Investigator, Dental Practice-Based Research Network* Study 6, Questionable Occlusal Carious Lesions. University of Florida, Florida/Georgia Region.

Dentistry, also known as Dental and Oral Medicine, is a branch of medicine that consists of the study, diagnosis, prevention, and treatment of diseases, disorders, and conditions of the oral cavity. Dentists diagnose and treat dental issues and help patients develop better oral hygiene regimens. They clean teeth, correct bite issues, perform surgeries and extractions, and perform other duties to ensure that the teeth and mouth are healthy. 

While Dr. Rosenstein’s accomplishments in dentistry are a source of pride and fulfillment for him, his greatest joys come from his wife of 40 years and his wonderful children. Both his children developed his love of learning and have achieved at a very high level academically.

Outside of dentistry, he enjoys spending time with his family, playing golf, reading, and listening to music of all kinds. He and his wife enjoy art festivals, movies, live plays, and the ballet. They are also very committed to their three dogs: Sasha and Emma are Soft-coated Wheaten Terrier & Hugse is an Italian Greyhound.
