In practice since 1988, Dr. Harth is an experienced, board-certified obstetrician-gynecologist. She is available for exams and consultations at UChicago Medicine, including Duchossois Center for Advanced Medicine (DCAM) – Hyde Park & UChicago Medicine South Loop.
An authority in her field, she has a wide variety of clinical interests, which include pregnancy and childbirth care, menopause, gynecologic surgery, endometrial ablation, abnormal Pap smears, sterilization (Essure procedure), uterine fibroids and abnormal pain or bleeding. She leverages her sound expertise to deliver leading-edge medical care to her patients at every stage of their treatment. Her vast spectrum of care ranges from diagnostic evaluations to treatment through surgical, minimally invasive, as well as non-surgical options.

At the University of Chicago, she is an Associate Professor of Obstetrics and Gynecology and the Director of the Chicago Lying-In Ex-Residents (CLIER), an endowed organization dedicated to maintaining academic and social relationships between prior residents. This alumni group is one of the largest and most active medical groups in the country. Dr. Harth leads the Pritzker School of Medicine initiative in OB/GYN training for third year medical students.
A Fellow of the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists (FACOG), she is a member of the National Medical Association, the Cook County Physicians Association, and the Society for Academic Specialists in General Obstetrics and Gynecology.
At the start of her academic career, Dr. Harth graduated with her medical degree from the Pritzker School of Medicine of the University of Chicago in 1983. She then went on to perform her residency in obstetrics and gynecology at UChicago Medicine in 1987.
Specializing in women’s reproductive health, she is board-certified in obstetrics and gynecology by the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology (ABOG). The mission of the ABOG is to define standards, certify obstetricians and gynecologists, and facilitate continuous learning to advance knowledge, practice, and professionalism in women’s health.
