In regards to the doctor’s educational background, he earned his Master of Science (MS) degree and his medical degree from the Medical University of South Carolina in Charleston. He then went on to complete his internship in internal medicine at the same educational venue, followed by his residency in radiation oncology at the University of Miami. Finally, he completed his fellowship in brachytherapy at Beth Israel Medical Center in Boston.
Following his education, he became board-certified in radiation oncology by the American Board of Radiology, which is a not for profit physician-led organization that oversees the certification and ongoing professional development of specialists in diagnostic radiology, radiation oncology, and medical physics.
As a physician who is dedicated to finding new and more effective ways of combating various forms of cancer, Dr. Biagioli has authored numerous scholarly articles and book chapters and presented his work in both national and international forums.
