Get to know Otolaryngologist Dr. Peter G. Michaelson, who serves patients throughout the State of Ohio.
Dr. Michaelson is a board-certified otolaryngologist whose practice includes all facets of otolaryngology & head and neck surgery. He performs a wide range of surgical procedures with a focus on rhinology and sinus procedures, as well as a multitude of facial plastic surgeries, and general and pediatric ear nose and throat surgery.
In practice with DeVore Katz Michaelson ENT, he and his colleagues remain dedicated to providing quality, state-of-the-art ear, nose, and throat care to patients. Their offices are located in Centerville, Beavercreek, and Tipp City, Ohio.
Facial Aesthetics of Dayton, the branch of DeVore Katz Michaelson ENT, is devoted to facial beautification. There, Dr. Micahelson and his colleagues concentrate on skincare (both preventative and rejuvenative), chemical peels, dermaplaning, Botox, fillers, Kybella, and facial plastic surgery. Their goal is for patients to look in the mirror and like what they see.
With an impressive professional background, Dr. Michaelson can be found on staff at Grand View Health Children’s Center, Southview Medical Center, Soin Medical Center, and West Chester Hospital, Miami Valley and Children’s Medical Center. He is also an Assistant Professor of Surgery at the Uniformed Services University of the Health Sciences in Bethesda, Maryland and a Clinical Assistant Professor with the Boonshoft School of Medicine at Wright State University in Dayton, Ohio. He serves as a Colonel in the Ohio Air Guard as a Flight Surgeon in the 179th Airlift Wing, and had previously served at Wright Patterson Medical Center as Chief of Head and Neck Surgery for a period of 10 years.
Pertaining to his academic career, he earned his undergraduate degree from the United States Air Force Academy and then served as a physicist before returning to medical school at the Uniformed Services University of the Health Sciences, where he was awarded his medical degree in 2001. He completed his residency in San Antonio, Texas and then was assigned to Wright Patterson Air Force Base.
A Fellow of the American College of Surgeons, the doctor is board-certified through the American Board of Otolaryngology, Head and Neck Surgery, which serves the public by ensuring that diplomates meet the standards of training, knowledge, and professionalism through initial and continuing certification.
Among his various achievements, Dr. Michaelson has authored over a dozen papers published in peer-reviewed journals, authored multiple book chapters, chaired seminars at international meetings, as well as has had the honor of appearing on prime-time national news broadcasts to discuss some of his groundbreaking work on sleep disorders. Moreover, he had been asked to appear on multiple WDTN newscasts as an expert in popular medical topics and ENT issues that affect those in the Miami Valley.
