Dr. Millett is an orthopedic surgeon serving Vail and the surrounding communities. He is associated with The Steadman Clinic – a practice dedicated to delivering the highest standard of orthopaedic care and personal attention to each and every patient seeking our help.

Dr. Millett received his Medical Degree (MD) from Dartmouth Medical School in 1995. He has also received an Master’s of Science in Skeletal Biology from the University of Cambridge School of Clinical Medicine. He went on to complete a residency in surgery at Cornell University Medical Center, and a fellowship in shoulder, elbow, knee surgery and sports medicine at Steadman Hawkins Sports Medicine Clinic and Foundation.

Dr. Millett maintains professional memberships with the American Shoulder Society, American Academy of Orthopedic Surgeons, Orthopedic Research Society, American Orthopedic Society for Sports Medicine. Additionally, he is board certified in orthopedic surgery by the American Board of Orthopedic Surgery.

Orthopedic Surgery is the branch of surgery concerned with conditions involving the musculoskeletal system. As an orthopedic surgeon, Dr. Millett has elped pioneer an advanced arthroscopic shoulder surgery known as the Comprehensive Arthroscopic Management (CAM) procedure. CAM helps young, active patients with osteoarthritis delay or avoid shoulder replacement.

With over 20 years of experience in the field, Dr. Millett has treated thousands of patients. He has authored over 200 peer-reviewed, scientific articles, numerous book chapters, and 4 books on Orthopedics, Sports Medicine, and Shoulder Surgery. He has been recognized at one of the “Top 1% Doctors in America” in 2014 from US News and World Report and awarded by the American Academy of Orthopedic Surgeons.
