Dr. Tedder is a board-certified physician in the field of orthopedic surgery specializing in sports medicine and arthroscopy. He sees patients at his private practice, Tedder Sports Medicine & Orthopedic Center, with offices in St. Petersburg and Tampa, Florida.
With the support of his expert team at Tedder Sports Medicine and Orthopaedic Center, he treats rising professional athletes and weekend warriors alike through knee and shoulder arthroscopy, ligament reconstruction and osteochondral transplantation.

A native of South Carolina, Dr. Tedder received his Bachelor of Science degree from Wofford College. While performing his pre-med studies at Wofford, he lettered in both intercollegiate football and basketball. He secured a spot on the Academic All-American team as well. He then attained his medical degree from the Medical University of South Carolina.
Thereafter, he went on to perform his surgical internship at Cornell University and completed his residency in orthopedic surgery at the Albert Einstein School of Medicine in New York City. Following his residency training, he was selected for a fellowship in sports medicine and arthroscopy at the esteemed Alabama Sports Medicine and Orthopedic Center in Birmingham, Alabama under the direction of the famed surgeons, James R. Andrews, MD, and William G. Clancy, MD.
As a fellow, Dr. Tedder was a team physician for the University of North Alabama, a perennially ranked football power. He took care of many professional and intercollegiate stars while training under Dr. Andrews and Dr. Clancy.
Having been practicing in the Tampa Bay area since 1993, he is on the attending staff of many local hospitals and surgery centers. He is an immediate past member of the Board of Trustees of St. Petersburg General Hospital, and provides orthopaedic team coverage for several local schools as well. He is a past member on the Board of Directors of the American Heart Society and an annual contributor to the United Way and the Humane Society.
A Fellow of both the American Academy of Orthopedic Surgeons and the American College of Surgeons, Dr. Tedder is board-certified through the American Board of Orthopedic Surgeons (ABOS). The ABOS is an organization with the goal of establishing educational and professional standards for orthopedic residents and surgeons as well as evaluating the qualifications and competence of orthopedic surgeons.
Among his professional affiliations, he is a member of the Arthroscopy Association of North America as well as the International Society of Arthroscopy, Knee Surgery, and Orthopedic Sports Medicine.
