A well-versed physician in the field of internal medicine, Dr. Kara has 30+ years of experience with patients. 

After spending the early part of his career treating patients at The Cleveland Clinic, he spent the last several years focusing his work on functional medicine and natural remedies to help people live healthier lives. In 2018, he created KaraMD, a line of supplements focused on digestive support, heart health and reducing inflammation as the gateway to overall health.

KaraMD sprang from Dr. Kara’s desire and passion to educate people on the natural remedies and supplements that can be easily woven into daily health routines and lead to improved well-being. Focus is put on creating products backed by science and medicine to help patients achieve long term health results.

Regarding his educational background, Dr. Kara earned his medical degree from the University of Tripoli School of Medicine in 1991. He then relocated to the United States, performing his residency in internal medicine at Fairview Hospital in 1999.

Internal medicine is the medical specialty dealing with the prevention, diagnosis, and treatment of adult diseases. Physicians specializing in internal medicine are called internists. They manage and prevent common and complex diseases by providing comprehensive care and promoting overall well-being.

Throughout his illustrious 30-year career, Dr. Kara has been the recipient of various awards and honors, including the Patients’ Choice Award (2009, 2010, 2011) and Compassionate Doctor Recognition (2010, 2014).
