Back in 1992, Dr. Pulluru graduated with his medical degree from the University of Illinois College of Medicine. He then went on to perform his residency at the University of Illinois Hospital in 1997, followed by his fellowship in orthopedic sports medicine at Louisiana State University-Shreveport/Lake Charles Memorial Hospital in 1998.
As a testament of his continued education, the doctor is board-certified in orthopedic surgery and orthopedic sports medicine by the American Board of Orthopedic Surgery (ABOS). The ABOS is an organization with the goal of establishing educational and professional standards for orthopedic residents and surgeons as well as evaluating the qualifications and competence of orthopedic surgeons.
