Beyond his clinical practice, Dr. Thompson’s commitment to advancing healthcare extends to his involvement with the Physicians Committee for Responsible Medicine, a nonprofit organization dedicated to promoting plant-based diets and ethical scientific research for the betterment of human and animal health. He is also medical director of Healthy Living With A Vision Foundation, charitable organization that provides health information to minorities and marginalized communities. He is also a board member of Growing Home Inc., an urban farming organization located in the Englewood community of Chicago that teaches farming and job training to those in need.
