Dr. Valdez enjoys all aspects of obstetrics and gynecology with a special interest in minimally invasive surgery. She is a part of the team of professionals at Women’s Specialists of New Mexico, seeing patients at the Westside office in Albuquerque.
Having been serving the women of Albuquerque for over 40 years, Women’s Specialists of New Mexico is made up of physicians, midwives, and nurse practitioners who specialize in providing obstetrical and gynecological care. Committed to excellence, they provide many women’s health services including OB/GYN, urogynecology, pelvic reconstructive surgery, minimally invasive gynecologic surgery, adolescent gynecology, family planning, menopause management, and much more.
Raised in Isleta Pueblo, Dr. Valez enjoys working with New Mexico’s diverse female population. She attended the University of Colorado at Boulder for undergraduate studies and returned to Albuquerque for medical school at the University of New Mexico School of Medicine. Upon graduating with her medical degree in 2006, she went on to perform her residency in obstetrics and gynecology at the University of New Mexico in 2010.
A Fellow of the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists, she is board-certified in obstetrics and gynecology by the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology (ABOG). The ABOG is a non-profit organization that provides board certification for practicing obstetricians and gynecologists in the United States and Canada.
Licensed to practice medicine in New Mexico, Dr. Valdez is affiliated with New Mexico Surgery Center Multi-Specialty, Lovelace Medical Center, Lovelace Women’s Hospital, and Presbyterian Hospital – Albuquerque.
