Get to know Neurologist Dr. Vinit Mehrotra, who serves patients in Fort Worth, Texas.

Dr. Mehrotra is a neurologist who is currently serving patients at Tarrant Neurology Consultants, located in Fort Worth, Texas. Tarrant Neurology Consultants is a practice which has been set up with the goal of providing neurological care by a diverse group of six exceptional adult neurologists. The practice is well-equipped for providing a full suite of diagnostic and treatment procedures, as well as works seamlessly towards the goal of analyzing and helping patients.

Dr. Mehrotra is affiliated with Texas Health Harris Methodist Hospital Fort Worth, Medical City Fort Worth, and Baylor Scott & White All Saints Medical Center.

Dr Mehrotra received his medical degree in 1992 from the Moti Lal Nehru Medical College in Allahabad, India. After completing multiple residency programs in Allahabad and New Delhi, he relocated to Jersey City (New Jersey) to complete a medical internship. He then went on to complete a residency in neurology at the Seton Hall University in Edison, New Jersey; followed by a fellowship in clinical neurophysiology at the University of Houston in Houston, Texas. Upon completion of his fellowship training, Dr. Mehrotra relocated to Fort Worth, Texas to enter private practice.

Dr. Mehrotra is board-certified in both neurology and vascular neurology by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology (ABPN). The ABPN is a not-for-profit corporation dedicated to serving the public interest and the professions of psychiatry and neurology by: promoting excellence in practice through certification and maintenance of certification processes.

Dr. Mehrotra is a member of the American Academy of Neurology (AAN), whose mission is “to promote the highest quality patient-centered neurologic care and enhance member career satisfaction.”

Neurology is a branch of medicine dealing with the diagnosis and treatment of all categories of conditions and disease involving the central and peripheral nervous systems, including their coverings, blood vessels, and all effector tissue, such as muscle. As an expert in the field, Dr. Mehrotra diagnoses and treats neurological disorders, including stroke, dementia, and neuromuscular diseases.

Dr. Mehrotra has won several awards for his clinical expertise, including the Patients’ Choice Award (2008, 2009, 2018).
